San Antonio Office

TTI’s research staff in San Antonio has expertise that spans the traditional areas of transportation planning, design, operations, and maintenance. Housed within the Transportation Operations Group at TTI, researchers conduct leading-edge research and technology transfer in a number of critical areas in transportation. For over 15 years, these researchers and staff have partnered with transportation agencies to apply research findings and transfer technology into both the public and private sectors. Staff expertise developed includes such infrastructure management capabilities as

  • utility coordination, inventory, and permitting;
  • right-of-way acquisition and asset management;
  • data modeling and database design; and
  • geographic information systems (GIS) and global positioning system (GPS) data collection and processing.

TTI researchers have also performed extensive work in traffic operations analysis and modeling, with regular emphasis on mobility improvement and safety. Focused investigations have focused on freight analysis, emergency preparedness, and optimization of the transportation project development process.

The TTI San Antonio staff are currently located at the One Castle Hills Building and the TransGuide Building.
